Who's behind Man Talk

The staff behind Man Talk have been gaming since the Coleco and Atari days, through the Commodore 64 and 128, into decades of IT work across Apple and Windows machines, and on through Xbox, PlayStation, and more Fallout hours than anyone will admit. That includes years on racing simulators. Off the screen, the background starts with motorcycles at age eight and runs through classic go-karts, enduro bikes, three- and four-wheelers, a 1972 Mustang, and 90s car audio built on Alpine and Rockford Fosgate gear. Add years in Alaska catching salmon and halibut and camping on beaches, and you get the point: this site covers the categories its staff actually live in. Gear either works out there or it gets replaced.

Every guide follows the same rules. Research runs deep before a word gets written, drawing on published specs, documented owner experience, and community consensus rather than press releases. Prices are stated as the approximate street prices readers actually pay. Flaws get named, and every roundup says who should skip each product, not just who should buy it.
